When ordering with cocklakes.co.uk, all your credit and debit card payments as well as Paypal transactions, are processed in a very safe and secure environment through ‘Sage Pay’ who are one of the leading companies specialising in online credit and debit card transactions. cocklakes.co.uk do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the ‘register an account. option is used. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Issue a unique identifier (e.g. customer login)
d. Monitor customer account status beyond that required for individual purchases
e. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
f. To help us analyse data from Google Analytics that provides us with information so we can do analysis on our website data and continue to improve our customer shopping experience.

What geographical area does your delivery service cover?
We deliver to most parts of Mainland UK. Unfortunately we cannot currently deliver outside the UK or to the following locations: Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight.
Is there a minimum or maximum order quantity?
No, we are happy to take orders for any quantity of goods, however the maximum weight we can deliver in a single box is 20kg. Larger orders will be packed and delivered in separate boxes.
How will my order be packed?
When you buy fresh, quality, local meat from Cocklakes, it is packed using state-of-the-art special cooling packaging to ensure it arrives in perfect order.Your order will be freshly prepared, vacuum-packed or tray wrapped, and placed into a strong, re-useable box which is lined with speciallly insultating and protective liners and dry ice packs, which prevent warming and protects your goods from knocks or bumps during transit.
When will my order be delivered?
We only use tried and tested food couriers, who will ensure that your goods reach you in prime condition, usually within 24 hours of being packed in our store.
To ensure you receive the freshest meat possible we only deliver on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Our courier will deliver the goods between 8am and 5pm. If you are out, the courier will leave the goods in the place you specify when you place the order (with a designated neighbour/ in the porch/ in the shed etc) and post a card through your door explaining where the goods have been left.

What if I am not at home for delivery?
Your order will require a signature when it arrives at the delivery address. If you cannot be certain that the parcel will be signed for at home, we recommend that you specify alternative delivery instructions in the ‘Special Instructions’ box on Step 2, for example the name and address of your place of work, or the name and address of a neighbour. If such information is provided, the courier will be informed accordingly.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is FREE for orders over £80.00 in value.
Other orders are all charged at a flat rate of £10.00.
For local deliveries within the CA10*, CA11*, CA12*, CA13*, CA14*, CA16*, CA17*, CA18*, CA19*, CA20*, LA7*, LA8*, LA9*, LA10*, LA11*, LA12*, LA13*, LA14*, LA15*, LA16*, LA17*, LA18*, LA19*, LA20*, LA21*, LA22*, LA23* postcode areas, we are able to offer a delivery charge of £5.00.
You can also choose to collect any size of order yourself from our shop near Troutbeck, Penrith, without any packing or delivery charge.
What if the Goods do not arrive when I expect them?
We hope this will never be the case, however in the event of your order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by telephone or email within 24 hours of the expected delivery quoting your order reference number. We will investigate the situation immediately and advise you as soon as possible. Should the order not be delivered within one working day of the date given in the order confirmation, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Due to the seasonal nature of some of our produce and limited supply, it is possible that from time to time we may be unable to fulfill some orders. We will advise you as soon as possible if this is the case, and offer alternative produce or cancellation at your discretion. In the event of us having to cancel an order, you will recieve a full refund. If your order is for a large selection of items, we reserve the right to substitute meat of equal or superior quality and value and of the same type.
Acceptable Weight Variation
When you place an order with us, it will be for a nominal weight of produce, at a specified price, and we will collect your payment when placing the order. Because orders are prepared individually, it can be expected that there may be some small variation in weights above or below the weight you chose, and it is impractical for us to process small refunds or to request additional payments. We will ensure that this variation never exceeds more or less than 10% of any item specified. Items delivered within this 10% variation will be deemed as a complete and correct order.
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the produce received, you should contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Your statutory rights are not affected.
